What to choose for centralized user management for Linux and Windows systems?

Hello, the essence of the question is to configure the infrastructure in such a way that all user data is taken from one server (mail server, authorization on users' computers, authorization in the company's web applications). As I understand it, this is called SSO (Single Sign-On), I found little information on this topic in order to make a choice of the system on which everything will be tied. Please share sources and help with advice.
Thank you.
I'm leaning towards FreeIPA, I also tested Zentyal.

MS Active Directory?

Zentyal is just an "all OSS projects in one" build, where the base is made on samba.
IPA is a separate technology that has nothing in common with AD, but it has a lot of trouble with the banal introduction of Windows into a domain.
I would start by testing Zentyal - there is some kind of web-face for the administration.

If not AD, then FreeIPA - it works quite well.

I also remember there is ClearOS and Univention Corporate Server, I personally settled on Zentyal (it was about three years ago, I don’t know what has changed during this time), for two micro domains for 10 and 20 win only machines.
