How to write Cyrillic to Active Directory user attribute in Python?

Good evening gentlemen.
Briefly, the essence of the problem - I can not figure out how to write the user property 'initials' in MS AD on Python 3 + ldap3 in Cyrillic. When writing, the Cyrillic string is converted to the character code in the unicode table (if I understand correctly) and I run into the 6-character limit of the 'initials' property.
For example, I try to write the letter "L" there, but I get "\d0\9b".

PS I wrote to the library developer, if anything, here is our conversation on GitHub .
