What to choose 1x24" or 2x23"

I ask for reasonable arguments in favor of any of the options.
I've been suffering for days now: buy 2 DELL U2311H (1920x1080) or 1 DELL UltraSharp U2410 (1920x1200) monitors

Requirements: programming (I don't use IDE), ssh, surfing, movies (rarely), photoshop rarely, fps toys sometimes.
The 24" DELL has a more pleasant screen shape - closer to my favorite 4:3. But 2x23" (16x9) can be placed vertically and it will be very convenient to view long listings
. Both types of monitors with an ips matrix, though 24" seem to be a little better. Both types have 3 degrees of freedom. The
cost of both options is the

same.Help people!

I may now act as a cap, but I’ll say it anyway =)
do you realize that two monitors turned into a portrait, although very convenient for programming, ssh and photoshop, but for movies and fps one of them will have to be deployed?
I am sure that jerking the monitor back and forth, adjusting the image output settings on it (cancel portrait mode and turn off the second monitor), will cause irreparable damage to your mental health.

2x23", you can put one vertically and the other horizontally.

2x23". For programming it is much more convenient, in movies / games you can display IM / torrent client / some kind of monitoring on the second monitor or stupidly turn it off, no problems.

2x23". For programming - what the doctor ordered, but not in a vertical position, but in a horizontal one. On one monitor - the code, on the second - the result / docks / samples.

2x23 + bracket from Ergotron or another manufacturer that will solve the problem of relative positioning of monitors.

But 2x23 "(16x9) can be placed vertically and it will be very convenient to view long listings

I myself often work with long listings and tried to put my Dell U2311H vertically - I didn’t like it categorically.
Firstly, you have to constantly shake your head up and down, which quickly begins to tire and annoy. With a normal vertical screen height, it is enough to drive only with your eyes.
Secondly, in a vertical position, the uneven illumination of the field and a limited viewing angle on the larger side of the monitor become visible. I find it difficult to explain why this is not visible in a horizontal position, but is visible in a vertical one - but a fact is a fact.
But in theory, the idea is good, I wanted it myself :)
