Which external monitor to buy for MacBook Air 2017?

Good day! ;)
This is the situation:
I entered a university, now I sit at a laptop much more often and because of this there was a desire to look at the screen more and more clearly, I’m sitting on a macbook air 17 years old, 13 inches, resolution 1440x900, the hardware is not strong, the screen is attached higher.

So here's a question, what is the most adaptive version of the monitor for such hardware? Tk, I assume that 144 Hz will be hard for him and the laptop will lag and freeze, but I don’t know for sure if it suddenly pulls, then I would take a monik 144
But if it doesn’t pull, but for sure the current is 60 Hz, but with what diagonal? would 27 inches be too much for him?

Thanks in advance for your reply!

I bought just such a Chinese 2K 27 "craft. PPI 109, and on a macbook it's 113, so it's close. At a price of 14 thousand, this is a gift. True, I had a leg finished with a file (that's right!), did not fit into the socket. Otherwise, I'm satisfied - the angles are normal, the sizes of the image elements are normal, the frequency, size and resolution are fine. But we know that China is a risk, so I don't recommend buying, just showing To calculate PPI ,
I recommend this calculator .
Ps It also works great with a service Windows laptop, but remote control ...
