What RAM should be installed on a Sony VAIO VPCEC2S1R laptop?
Good afternoon.
It so happened that a neighbor brought me a Sony VAIO VPC-EC2S1R laptop with 4 gigabytes of RAM from A-DATA EL7YG1B1672ZG (2Gb x 2) and asked me to increase the RAM to 8 gigabytes (4Gb x 2).
When replacing RAM with, for example, Kingston KVR13S9S8 / 4 (4Gb x 2), a freshly installed Windows 10 OS gives a BSOD with a KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE error, when memtest64 starts checking from a RAM flash drive, the laptop turns off. The product page says that the maximum RAM size is 8 gigabytes.
Please tell me which models of RAM or its parameters are compatible with this laptop.
BIOS version R0300Y8 (latest for now)
An attempt was made to install the same RAM with overstated parameters, according to the assurances of posts on other forums that this RAM will work, but at a lower frequency, the maximum possible on this Intel® HM55 Express chipset, however, nothing came of it.
Perhaps someone has experienced a similar problem and can give some good advice?

It is better not to experiment with voltage / overclocking of the RAM and install memory from the same family as the original one. For this model, any DDR3 memory (not DDR3L) with a frequency of 1066 mhz and a voltage of 1.5v should be suitable. For example, Corsair CMSA4GX3M1A1066C7 .
The Kingston KVR13S9S8 / 4 that you tried to install has a clock frequency of 1333 mhz, i.e. for it to work correctly, you need to lower its frequency in the settings. But no one will give a guarantee that it will work at all, especially - correctly. Everyone does any such operations at their own peril and risk ...
