How to choose RAM for Daisy Chain motherboard?

There is a Gigabyte Z490 Aorus Elite AC motherboard with four RAM slots.
I want to put 32 GB, but at the beginning I need to buy 2 8 GB sticks, and then buy 2 more.

Everything seems to be ok, but I came across information that this motherboard has the topology of the Daisy Chain memory subsystem, and not T-Topology.

Judging by the information from the Internet, Daisy Chain works better when all slots are not occupied, and T-Topology when all 4 are occupied. But I don’t understand what the logic is ... Why make 4 slots, but if you take only two, it will work well, and if all 4, then bad.

Please explain how it works and what is better in this situation: 2x16 or 4x8?

Better 2x16, you yourself write about it above.
As far as I understand this question - with only two m/b sticks installed, it will be better to overclock the RAM. It will also work with four and will also overclock, but the overclocking result will be more modest.
My experience on the B450 is ~2993 with four and ~3533 with two.
As for the meanings:
Do you have so many tasks in which it makes sense to overclock the RAM? And do you really need 32GB?

Why make 4 slots

It is obvious that it was possible to install 4 RAM modules. Overclocking RAM does not give a noticeable increase in performance, but its lack is guaranteed to give it drawdowns.
