What monitor resolution is preferred for the proger?
Good afternoon.
There is a 17-inch laptop with full hd, the eyes are increasingly starting to hurt when working with phpstorm. the font has been increased to 15 - it's no longer comfortable to poke around in the code. I read that for a proger 4k monik is a must have, the eyes will not get tired. I started digging and was amazed. Monicas with 4k cost from 28k and above, with norms of reviews somewhere under 40k, this is provided that the monitors are from 24 to 31 inches. And TVs are starting from 11k for 4k and 40-44 inches. Why is that? Miscellaneous 4k?)
I also read that 4k has problems with scaling in Windows. Youtube they say with stripes, some software scales crookedly. How much does a proger need 4k monitors, if we are talking stupidly about eye fatigue? And yes, I remember about rest, only earlier I could work for 2-3 hours without rest, then 1.5-2 hours, and now I have been working for an hour and my eyes are very tense. Monique thought to take full hd or 2k (24-27 inches), how much worse / better are they than 4k? Thank you.

Your eyes get tired of anything, but not from resolution: from flickering backlight, from incorrectly adjusted brightness, from the fact that the head is somehow not so turned, from clamps in the neck, etc. "if we are talking stupidly about eyestrain" - you will definitely not achieve anything with high resolution.
But I am sure that a 4k monitor is a must for everyone, and especially for progers. There are no problems with them, only pluses. I have already bought two.
Glasses for PC + monitors 24+ inches with fullhd is enough for the eyes, optionally put the 2nd monitor for multitasking (but this is not suitable for everyone, some people lose kpi because of this).
PS It is advisable to at least move away from the PC every 45-60 minutes for 3 minutes
