One 15" laptop screen. You can live, alt + tab is quite convenient. But I think I'll buy myself one 23" monitor in the summer.
13" beech screen (for IDE and Skype), + 24" benq don't remember the model. The monitor is smaller under another. Previously, the second monitor was on the side, and as a result, I did not use one of the monitors at all, since it was somehow inconvenient to turn my head. And so - you write something, raise your head - you look at the result. 13" is more than enough for an IDE (although it's a little small for xcode, so I often work with it on a large screen) + retina to make the text read better.
Single workstation Dell UltraSharp 24 x2. On the other One Dell + 19" SyncMaster. As my practice shows, the size matters only for the main monitor, the second one is already valuable simply for its presence.
As a Node.js developer, I practice the following: on the main IDE monitor and the browser, on the secondary assembly and debugging of project processes. When debugging realtime functionality, it is convenient to open additional clients in the browser on the second monitor so that all interaction is in front of our
eyes.In general, several monitors, this is such a thing, like a dishwasher. As long as it is not there, it seems to be normal , and once you buy it, it's already difficult to live without it.
At one time there were two monitors. One for 24" (1920x1080) and one for 19" (1440x900). On the first IDE + everything that is used now, and on the second browser, documentation, etc.
It was also convenient with a second monitor in games. Then I displayed data on the state of the PC on an additional monitor (load on the CPU / GPU / HDD, temperature, etc.).
I also tried to display automatically updated information from Twitter there (there I have subscriptions to interesting news for me) - it was also very convenient. Displayed through TweetDeck opened in the browser in full screen mode.
As a result, I advise you to use a second monitor. It's really comfortable and functional.
I work in a product from JetBrains, so I need UltraHD.
But I have 2 23 "FullHD. For a couple of UltraHD, the toad suffocates a little.
2 monitors 19 ", standard resolution, one is connected via KVM, the second directly to the SysBlock, it is very convenient in repairing computers, you display all the information on the main one, and on the second you look and pick the faulty computer.
When there is no work, on the first you sit in the internet, and on the second the movie shows, I use another option, on the first 1C it is open, and on the second the client details are open, driving the client into the database with the usual copy-paste, very convenient
