What education is more valued for a programmer: full-time higher education (not IT) or part-time IT?

There are two options:
I have the opportunity to go to a higher educational institution to become an electrician at a full-time department and get an education (attend an educational institution if possible).
I have the opportunity to go study in absentia in computer science or software engineering.
In my work as a programmer, if I am: a developer, I will be a mentor, I will become a modern team leader.

  1. What kind of education will they look more at full-time non-IT or part-time IT?
  2. Please tell me what kind of education is better to get in your opinion?

Naturally, the one that is related to IT is better, xs, as in Russia, and in Ukraine, the correspondence of the diploma is written only in the application and then not on the first page (i.e. hardly anyone will look for a blue card / visa the application is not required (there is an opinion that the correspondence is not suitable for a work visa / blue card)).

How is an electrical degree? Maybe for the Power Engineer or the Electronics Engineer or the Relay Engineer? For an electrical engineer? College electricians are graduating.
If the university is serious, then even at the department of energy you will be taught the basics of programming. And you will have the opportunity to engage in programming in this area and not just write out outfits for drunks. If you are interested in programming far from hardware, then of course you should immediately go to IT. However, you are talking about zaochka. There, you will simply be required to receive printing and painting on time. If you just do not have enough crust, then this is an option. If you need at least some knowledge, ask those who graduated from this university how many adequate teachers there are, how they communicate with students, can they teach something. It’s good when teachers are not just teachers, but part-time work somewhere else, in their specialty, and can explain something using live examples.
