How interesting is it to tell elementary school children about the profession of a programmer?

At the school where the son is studying, there are lessons that parents come to and talk about their profession. A week later, it's my turn. 40 minutes, no projector, children 9 years old (3rd grade).
I'm looking for interesting examples, something with the effect of "Aha!" That would interest children.
Something like Leonardo da Vinci's helicopter or times tables by 9. Perhaps something from game theory, such as a game of 1-2-3 (15 matches, two take turns taking 1, 2 or 3 matches)? What can be said in 2-3 minutes and what can surprise?

1. Show that programming is not just 3 geeks in the basement, it's already everywhere.
Example: Offer to count the number of microprocessors around the child. And for each microprocessor, people are needed to write a program for it.
2. Explain how computers and programming have accelerated scientific progress. Technological Singularity.
Example: Tell how the world has changed before computers and after (before, they read books sitting in the reading room of the library, now on youtube anyone can find training videos for every taste. Previously, they drove a primitive car, now smart autopilots, etc.)
3. Tell that programming brings money. Give examples of famous people who have achieved success.
4. Explain that programming is easy and not boring.
Example: Draw a simple algorithm on the board: wake up - brush your teeth - eat - go to school. Add conditions: if Sunday - go not to school, but to play. Those. every child can already compose an algorithm.

At one time, I liked the idea that a programmer can do anything. In a sense, it can create a model of everything, any virtual objects, phenomena, or even the whole world.
