Is it possible to combine full-time study at a university and freelancing?

Next year I'm graduating from secondary school in the direction of "Programming in computer systems". I cannot say that these past three years have been very meaningful. I always wanted to get a higher education, but for this, of course, you need to go to the city, which is accompanied by financial problems. I will need to fully provide for myself, it would be too much to count on help from my parents. This means renting an apartment (or a hostel, if there are good ones among them) + other expenses. I'm thinking about starting freelancing, but at the same time, the idea seems kind of unrealistic. Do any of you have a similar experience?

I disagree with Armenian Radio . Perhaps it is freelancing that will work out to be combined, but then you can only count on small earnings, because you won’t be able to devote more than 3-5 hours to work. I got a full-time job in a studio for a remote job and decided to take an academic leave (I was a little upset at the tower, maybe I chose the wrong profession) and everything is fine with me, but studying + working remotely is not an option, there simply would not be enough time.
PS Do not even think that you are the same super hero who can attend 3-4 couples a day and even plow for 6-8 hours later to have a good income, this is not so, believe me - the idea is bad.

Yes, I did it myself, starting from the second year I worked.

I studied part-time while working as a freelancer. I had sessions for 1.5 months. I studied from 9 am to 5 pm. So, if this is not the last course, then everything in general is not bad, and I managed to combine quite well, especially at boring lectures that I didn’t listen to anyway, I opened the beech and worked, the same thing if there were windows in the schedule. But in my last year, when I had a diploma, I kind of got the hang of it;)
I had to put my work on pause or leave for another year of study, since I couldn’t leave my diploma for the fall, as happens in some universities, for me it was, let’s say a nightmarish option, since my studies strongly interfered with my development and I decided to finish

The whole irony of freelancing is that working in this mode, you still come to the fact that regular customers appear and you end up working for 2-3 companies, not particularly twitching in search of new orders, the system itself leads you to this because working well people start contact you again and again. In addition, the search for new orders takes much more energy than working with regular customers, and nature, as you know, strives for the lowest energy consumption, always.

Moreover, you can combine "full-time" work (for hire) and freelance, as well as "full-time" work and individual entrepreneurs
, etc. options.
But as a rule, one of the directions will get stuck, so to speak, in the end you will get tired, you can lose the tempo.
It all depends on your personal capabilities, if you pull it, if you manage to do it here and there, then this is not forbidden in principle! ))
PS: well, perhaps the most opponents of combining full-time work with individual entrepreneurs / freelance, etc., are banks.
PS: and at the university I combined full-time education with "full-time" work)
but let's just say ... well, I already wrote above - one of the directions will get stuck, etc. etc.
BUT, if you don’t try, you won’t know if someone is holding?

Freelancing is a state of mind, not for everyone again.
If you ask more questions and think, maybe it’s just not yours and you need to let go ....
When I started, I didn’t think at all, the force carried simply and everything turned out by itself ......
Do you have enough energy for 2 things, too it’s unknown ....
Go in for sports better, then you won’t ask questions, but just start doing it, and then look at the state of your body and soul ......
The walking one will master the road ..

Nothing can interfere with freelancing :) Here the question is a little different - is there enough strength? To serve three or four classes, then plow another 4-6 hours, then you also need to do tasks :) And in the first year they fight so that the chips fly in all directions - just dodge! (And they do it completely intentionally - if the chela did not have enough strength to overcome the first course - let him walk).

If for the first time at least there will be money, then it is quite possible to get a job. In your case, I would focus on finding a cheap place to live :) Many apartments are rented together with someone. And then, over time, it may be possible to somehow change the situation. It's hard to predict exactly.
