Video cards

What could be the problem if the computer constantly freezes tightly?

A month ago, the computer began to freeze tightly. I tested all the components and realized that the problem was in the video card. I connected it to another computer, it worked properly, without crashes. When removing the video card drivers, no crashes were found, so the problem is most likely in them or in a hardware conflict.

1. I would start with fans - it's easy to check. You don't even need to change them. Check and vacuum.
2. I would check the RAM - it's easy.
3. Then I would have switched to drivers. Or even completely rearranged the OS.
4. If not for it, then I would suspect an unstable diet. Take a closer look at the swollen capacitors. I would replace the power supply.
By the way, I just did this recently.
After installing a new (not so power-consuming) video card, the computer began to freeze. Sometimes. More often in games.
1-2-3 didn't help. Capacitors are intact.
After buying a new good power supply (not powerful at all, a lot of power is not needed at all), everything began to work stably.

The problem may be in the power supply. A video card is often simply the most powerful consumer, and when it is actively used, the problem manifests itself.

Well, remove the card driver and download 1. the latest driver for your card (try it with a clean install) 2. There is a hardware conflict with the software, download an earlier version of the card drivers and install it by removing the installed driver first.

Not much difficult, since even the op system is not known, but oh well. Over the years with technology, I have learned one thing that computers are dead wedges only because of improper nutrition. What does it mean, even if on the motherboard you have at least one capacitor swollen or knocked to the bottom and not noticeable, then there is not enough voltage under load and everything gets stuck. You can drive the components, if they are definitely not the problem, then look for a problem with the voltage, somewhere it is not correct and start by inspecting the defects of the parts

I recommend checking the hard drive, most likely it will soon fail.
