When you turn on the laptop, it says "please f2 to enter setup" when pressed, a black screen and a white dash in the corner and that's it.

After pressing F2, the computer should enter the BIOS settings. If it is not included, it can be assumed that the BIOS firmware is not in order. But I had a similar case, the desktop hung on the BIOS splash screen. The POST check of the motherboard passed, there was a short squeak. The processor turned out to be to blame, I don’t know what failed there, but after replacing the processor, the computer worked without any complaints.
