What are the consequences if you use unlicensed software on ODESK and other Western freelance exchanges? (..I understand that the Indian army is not particularly concerned about this issue, but nonetheless).
Is it possible to gradually switch to "white" software as prof. development and increase in income, or is it fraught?

Interest in this issue is purely theoretical, the use of pirated software is illegal and can harm your computer.
