Wanted to learn game development. Stumbled upon Unity and Godot. Chose Godot. How to teach it? Read Russian documentation? As I understand it, you need to learn GDScript. Is reading the documentation enough to create games, and where to learn this language?

You don't even need to learn the language.
Take the demo and repeat the steps.
Language learning is automatic.

GDScript is similar to Python, so you can learn it first. Your horizons are expanding, your ambitions are big, the language is popular, it will certainly come in handy. And switching from it to GDScript is easy.
Documentation is not enough even to become a programmer. And to become a game developer, this is all the more not enough. Provided that you have an appropriately good background, you need to spend at least a year on a specialized education, after which you can enter the game dev in June positions. Although if you are a genius, you can try your luck as an indie loner.

Wanted to learn game development.

The beginning is good - you wanted it, have you already wanted it?)
Did they follow you or did you give up on your own? If so, write to us about it!
Well, like everyone else, watch lessons, read books, listen to audio books and develop.

Damn it, just take YouTube, docks and demos. And repeat them.
