VLC audio relay?

I can not find more or less intelligible information on relaying audio through VLC. There are many examples on video, almost none on audio. There is a Debian 5 server, VLC is installed. There is another server with Windows from where the broadcast is via Winamp Shoutcast.
How to relay a stream without conversion? I will be grateful for any information.

1. first you need to start VLC in http mode,
2. open the input stream,
3. click on the stream and in the settings already specify how to stream and where.

As a rule, audio is relayed using Icecast , at least with the radio I did this.
But I don’t know about the conversion ...
Maybe this will help List of streaming media systems
