How to capture the passers-by from the surveillance camera?
At night, someone damaged the material property on the territory. I uploaded a 12-hour video from a surveillance camera (there is no built-in motion sensor on the camera). Now, as I understand it, you need to run this video through some third-party application to output timecodes to a file when an object moves on the video. How to implement it? I read that you can use the VLC Player for motion detection, but I couldn’t figure out how.

Motion detective by DVR usually.
There are 2 upload formats. Ordinary video (reg forms a standard avi or mp4 that opens in any player) or in a special file format that opens with a player from the registrar manufacturer. Of course, if there was no detection in the settings, then it will not be displayed in the 2nd option either.
How to make detection on a finished file -
xs Cut out just the necessary parts of the video from the file and give it to whoever needs it. The easiest option
