UpWork for Crimea, how to work?

Hello, I am a web designer, I have been working in Crimean web studios for a couple of years (I change studios during my professional growth).
I decided to start working on UpWork, but because of the geolocation (Crimea). blocked (the letter states that this is an occupied territory and everything that needs to be moved from there). Who from the Crimea faced such a problem and how was it solved?
And the second question, how long does it take to start getting a job on UpWorke? otherwise they blocked me a day later, I couldn’t even test the service.
And the third question, which has matured in the process of thinking about the first two, where is it more profitable for a designer to work, in a small company + freelancing, a medium company + freelancing, or in a large company, but I think that there will be no time to freelance, I really hope that there are exciting projects that you can immerse yourself in)
Thanks in advance for the answers)

Part of the problem is solved by using a VPN. But it's dangerous, somewhere something fell off, they forgot to connect it - a ban with a freeze of all funds in the account.
Moving completely solves the problem.

Who said that in a serious company there will be no time for freelancing?) a company is a company, 8 hour working day, you have worked, go home and place an order. It’s another matter that freelance would bring good profit, but a couple of hours after work is not enough. At the expense of the Crimea, everyone here advises the move, that's right. But maybe you don’t have the opportunity (family, parents, love for tangerines), as an option to work remotely for the same company or customer, remote jobs often flash on the Internet, if you are competitive why not, serious freelancing is the same remote work, just a client not alone.

Stepan VPN flies, unblocking an account is not fun. But there is another way.
Work through the mobile Internet of a sim card purchased not in the Crimea. For reference, all MTS cards were imported from Krasnodar. Therefore, if you distribute the mobile internet of this mts from your phone, then there will be Krasnodar IP on the computer. Check it out yourself.

Well, it’s not specifically Upwork that doesn’t want to work in this region, but a taboo for all legal entities and individuals in the states.
And not only is it forbidden to work with this region, but de facto it can be prosecuted.
Crimea can already be found in a number of prohibited regions along with the DPRK in small print in terms and conditions.
Yes, and it makes sense to encrypt if there are no ATMs to withdraw money from Payoneer.
Many people move and then their problems are found from the Crimean past, in general, consider it as stale)
But my key answer is that it is very difficult to climb on Upwork and move for freelancing to Upwork is a dubious decision.
Right there, not only your skills as a web designer are important, but how you can sell yourself, persuade the customer to choose you, write marketing proposals in English, and generally understand business where they pay in USD.
It's better to work for a company that makes cool stuff, no matter what size it is.
Usually these are small product companies where the result is important, and not the process as in galleys.
There, most of the projects are on stream and you will be shaping from 9 to 6.

Option 1: Set geolocation outside Crimea, and VPN from there.
Option 2: Ask a friend who will never work for Upwork to register there, who, if anything, will be ready to confirm his identity.
I do not recommend moving from Crimea within the Russian Federation. Politically, it may not be ice, but geographically it seems very convenient to me.

I'm using a VPN and working on an upwork.. For half a year, no one closed the account or banned it, but I started to actively fulfill the order recently. If everything goes well, maybe I’ll even withdraw money)) And now they want a video chat from me to confirm my data ..)
