Actually on bare Py or JS and without additional modules \ libraries \ etc. can you freelance? Or do you have to study a ton of additional stuff?

I have bad news for you.
Even if you learn some additional framework (and even several), you will simply move from one crowd of people who want to work at least for some money to another, no less huge one.
I'm serious.
