Unsuccessful completion of the installation phase, what to do?

Nothing foreshadowed trouble, Kali was installed, as usual, but when I go to the software installation stage, the error "failure to complete the installation stage" selection and installation of software "you can try to run it once from the main menu, or skip it and select another stage."
What to do in this case, does anyone know?

I myself encountered such an error, and even in two variations. I can help with one of them, if the second popped up, then my powers are all)) In the first version, the error pops up before choosing the software itself and the graphical shell. In this situation, you need to go to the selection of items and click on the launch of the shell, where we are looking for a file, where, as I understand it, a line that should not be commented out. You write "cd/target/etc/apt", you can write "ls" to see a list of all files, we are interested in "sources.list". We write "nano sources.list" . You remove the "#" from the file before the only line in the file and voila. Then you press "ctrl + x" to save and exit, you will be asked by the shell to press "y" if you agree, then press enter. Then you will be in the console, you will write exit into it and you will return to your long-suffering point "Selecting and installing software". If the problem is exactly the same as mine, then this will help 100%. If it occurs after the selection of the graph. shells (xfce, gnome, kde plasma and other software items), then this game is solved differently and I can’t find a solution in any way. You will have to put up with it, or download Kali Lite and install the full Kali software package through the terminal. Hope this helps, good luck
UPD: I just saw that the question was a year ago, but oh well, MB is still relevant for someone)))
