How to install kali linux persistence on mac?

I installed kali linux on a flash drive according to the official instructions https://docs.kali.org/downloading/kali-linux-live-... everything works, but I can’t make sure that user data is not deleted after rebooting in persistence mode, I tried do according to the instructions https://docs.kali.org/downloading/kali-linux-live-... but without success. Can't even execute the first command:
