Hard disks
Uncle Bogdan, 2021-07-24 17:48:31

The hard drive is bad, how can I turn off bad sectors or something like that?

I don't want to buy a new one.

I want to unpack the archive, but it gives an input / output error.
The laptop itself reboots (during unpacking, etc.).

Did a smart check. It showed this: I

started scanning, so far it shows this:

@motkot

You have 49 sectors that are already reallocated, and 20 that are in "unclear" status - pending. Also Uncorrectable ECC errors are very high.

Laptop restarts by itself

If it comes to this, then without delay copy important data from the disk: first critical, then just important, and so on in descending order.
Well, if you take the drive out of the computer and connect it to another so as not to boot from it.
If there are problems with copying, then this is a separate issue.
I don't want to buy new

But you must. An attempt to save on a new disk will lead to the fact that you will have to pay no less amount for data recovery: https://rlab.ru/price/
how can bad sectors be disabled or something like that?

"Disable" will not work, reallocate is the reassignment. The disk in the screenshots can no longer be considered reliable. In no case do not use scams like HDD Regenerator, they can finish off the disk in such a way that even professionals will not help.
Carried out a smart check

If you do not understand all the parameters yourself, you can do automatic diagnostics in R.tester, it has a built-in interpreter that diagnoses the disk based on values from SMART: https://rlab.ru/tools/rtester.html
