Why is the hard drive buzzing so much?
I bought a used computer with passive cooling on VIA C3. The seller gave along with him a hard 2.5" IDE Fujitsu MHH2032 4 GB very old. When working, there is an unpleasant sound like a circular, as if something is rubbing inside. SMART shows that everything is fine, except that the disk has worked for almost two years. Especially I didn’t test it, but it’s normally formatted, detected, etc. So far there are no problems (I’ll put Windows on it, maybe they will come out.) When it turns off, you can hear the disk slowing down, as if something is holding it (the sound is about and slow down the fan on the cooler with a piece of paper.) What could be the problem and is there any chance that it will work at least for a while?

with LIVE-CD load MHDD and turn on the AAA mode on the disk, this is due to the acoustic mode, it will work quieter, but slowly
