Should I upgrade my mac mini 2012?

I have mac mini 2012:
Processor Name: Intel Core i7
Processor Speed: 2.3 GHz
Number of Processors: 1
Total Number of Cores: 4
L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB
L3 Cache: 6 MB
Memory: 4 GB
There is an idea to upgrade its 16gb+ install ssd drive.
Is it worth it or not?
Or maybe it's time to write it off.
What does not suit: the brakes
start for a long time
with a large amount of open software.

What does not suit: the brakes
start for a long time
with a large amount of open software.
These problems are due to SSD and RAM respectively.
Everything should work just fine.
But if you can replace the entire device, then why not?

well, of course, it’s worth it
in general, as in 2015 it’s possible without an ssd, and 4GB of memory is generally some kind of shame

I upgraded the same one a year ago. The costs are not large, the increase is significant. At 4 GB, the bottleneck is memory. At 8 GB - the screw is already slowing down.

I had a mini. After the first turn on, I looked at this case for 15 minutes. There was one question - WTF? I immediately went to the store, bought 16Gb and an SSD. After installation - it's a completely different computer. They cannot be compared. You don't even have to think here. It will not slow down, the HDD will not make noise, it will boot in 10 seconds.
