Should I change my PC to Macbook pro 13?

Hello! I don't know how stupid this is, but it's there.

The essence of the question is: is it worth changing your PC (xeon, rx470, 16gb, etc.) to Macbook Pro 13 2015 (i5, 8gb, 256 gb)?

The fact is that I have now taken up vector graphics (Illustrator and the like) and plan to develop in this direction, but since I and my PC are in different cities due to the pandemic (yes, I'm a student :)). I'm not going to play with toys, because I've already grown up, and it's not interesting to play anymore. And so I had a need for portability and a good screen (albeit small, but there is a separate monitor for the diagonal). Before that there was a laptop on Windows (i3 8030u, mx 150, ssd, 8gb, IPS FullHD), but I successfully sold it, because it got very hot (after all, one heat pipe and one cooler for all the hardware), and it slowed down in places, which was very stressful. There will be no money for a more expensive apple model (maximum 50k). I thought about Windows laptops, but most likely there will be a TN matrix (yes, much more powerful hardware). Of course, there is an option for all sorts of new Chinese (Huawei, etc.)
There was (until the screen flew) ipad mini 3 (a cool thing for just reading or sitting on YouTube), even after a while it almost didn’t lag, there were slowdowns, but this is probably due to the moral and physical obsolescence of iron. Therefore, I am already a little familiar with the apple, and in the future it will not be difficult to figure it out.

So I look forward to your advice :)

If Windows is tired, you need to try another OS.
If the old computer is in another city, you need to transport it or buy a new computer.
If you need mobility, you need to choose from laptops.
Decide what problem you want to solve first. If you want to combine everything in one, it is better to first decide what you are willing to sacrifice so that there are no unexpected disappointments later. Laptop / MacBook - more expensive / weaker hardware, more powerful hardware - Windows / PC, etc.
Now it is not clear what you expect from the MacBook, which you are leaning towards.
PS. Specifically, there are no complaints about this model, I have been using it for about 4 years on 13/2015, if the question arose of replacing it, I chose between models of the same 2015 year, or exclusively new ones.
About performance: most likely you will have to sacrifice something, for example, work in illustrator, without chrome running at the same time with 100,500 tabs, try other software, and so on.

No, of course not change.
Macbook Pro 13 2015 (i5, 8gb, 256 gb) is an ancient shit that belongs in a landfill.
Find normal iron, not this junk.
13" is ridiculous, none of those who work with graphics use such meager screens. Minimum 17"

Macs are better for working with graphics and texts and with a bunch of files
to work on Windows this is misery
poppy is the best design
Windows is a misunderstanding
Linux is good

If you need portability - take a Windows laptop from the store, the hardware will be more powerful and newer + warranty from the store.

With so many bugs that I now encounter in the epel ecosystem, I have never encountered on Windows. This is partly due, of course, to the complication of the equipment (like before the headphones were on the wire, now they are not), but the feelings from the transition from a very good Windows PC to a Mac would not be said to be very good. Something is more convenient, this is a fact, but there are also things in which Windows wins. In general, as a person who has been dealing with Windows for more than 10 years and it will soon be a year since I completely switched to Apple (at home and at work), I can say that the answer is that it is better to be very ambiguous.
According to the myths:
If you need reliability, Apple will not help you (I left Windows after it did not start and did not recover after the update). Although there has not been such a problem with the axis yet, in other aspects there can be no talk of any reliability and stability. A couple of days ago I could not connect to wifi all morning and this is on a new macbook pro.
If you need performance, ask yourself what. Chrome on my 140k mac works much worse than my last 60k pc.
When it makes sense to choose a poppy instead of Windows:
1) You need a laptop with all the consequences (you need to move often, etc.)
2) You know what programs you need and you know that only an apple has them (but then you wouldn’t ask such a question)

For a designer who works with Adobe and plans to "grow in that direction", performance should be the key. A Macbook, just because it's from Apple, won't bring any joy if it lags - and such an old device as you mentioned above will clearly not give you a comfortable work experience, even if you have an entry level. As your projects develop, they will become more complex and weighty, so it is important to think ahead and take a device, if not the latest, then at least not so outdated.
When deciding to buy a MacBook (especially if you switch from Windows), you need to think about the additional costs associated with its purchase - adapters, software, a place in the cloud (you will need it, 100% infa ), a backpack, possibly a mouse, additional monitor (because 13 "very hard), etc.
If finances now do not allow you to take a macbook of at least the 17th year, it would be wiser to take a productive and modern laptop on windows, and use it to earn yourself a new macbook.
PS I googled a bit modern laptops on win - msi, acer, asus, lenovo - in your budget - all have an ips matrix - I can't even remember the last time I encountered TN. For your needs, based on the text, fits perfectly.
