"Retina" is very easy to kill?

I met complaints about Macbooks with "retina" on many forums - the screen deteriorates very easily. For example, someone did not notice the crumbs on the keyboard, as a result - cracks on the glass and "broken" pixels. Not a warranty case.
I'm going to take a Macbook with a "retina". I want to ask the owners of such devices - how does the screen behave? Have there been cases of screen damage?
If, for example, you poke your finger into the screen more or less strongly, will it not go bad? I really would not want to lose the screen and money to replace it because of some little things.
Thanks in advance!

Fell off the cabinet - no cracks. I don’t eat crackers for beech - I can’t say anything about the crumbs. Nails are constantly poked at him - everything is in order. The screen is wonderful, but with one huge minus. From the rest (low dpi) you will spit constantly. Tested and proven.

Well, just don’t eat at the laptop.
