What is your opinion on MacBook care?

Hello everyone, I recently got a MacBook Air with an M1 processor, this is the first such expensive purchase.
It would be very interesting for me to know your personal experience regarding the durability of these laptops, issues of caring for it (how to avoid any breakdowns, at least the most frequent ones) and whether it is worth buying protective covers / overlays, gluing films on the screen.

my opinion: none.
maximum - hardcase on the beech itself. everything else is consumable.
if for you a piece of iron is not a consumable, wrap it in foil and put it in a locker.

I glue protective glass or film on all my MacBooks. Since the screen is very flimsy and scratches quickly. It seems that he didn’t touch it, but it’s already an unpleasant scratch)) and it’s easier to clean the protective one than the screen itself.
The overlays are the best. In a case it is somehow inconvenient to carry, pull out.
In terms of OS maintenance, I use the CleanMyMac cleaner. Vzhuh and the system is clean.
And so in general, the MacBook is not capricious. Especially on M1. Capriciousness in the applications themselves. But this is no longer up to you, but to the developer.

About strength: just now a 15” fell from a meter angle onto a concrete floor. The corner is pressed in, the screen is intact, the beech works like a watch.
