macbook cpu temperature?

Hello. How can you measure the temperature of the processor?
In the parallels virtual machine, I launched a process that loads the processor not weakly. The load constantly jumps and reaches 100%. The process itself takes about a day in time.
Put HWMonitor, the processor temperature reaches 90 degrees.
1) How harmful and dangerous is such a load for the processor?
2) There is a suspicion that hwmonitor may show the wrong temperature. Tell me which software is most likely to show the correct numbers.
PS. Usually in chrome I have 20 open tabs. Now I noticed that the temperature is also 80-90 degrees, but the cooler is not audible.
I installed fancontrol, the cooler periodically started turning on and making a lot of noise, but the temperature dropped to 50.
Why then is the cooler turned on very late as standard in mac os?

All Macs are set up in such a way that the coolers turn on at full capacity when the temperature is closer to 90 degrees. That is, the priority goes to the comfort of the user, so that the fan noise does not interfere.
At temperatures over 100 degrees, the processor will start to underestimate the frequency, slow down so as not to overheat, if the temperature continues to rise above 110, then the protection will work, the power will turn off. So everything is working fine for you.
But constant operation at such high temperatures is not buzzing, the resource of chips and other parts on the board is reduced. Overheating is the cause of many breakdowns. Therefore, it is advisable to monitor the cooling system, clean it from dust and change the thermal paste periodically.
To reduce the average operating temperature, you can forcefully increase the minimum cooler speed, many programs can do this. You can choose the optimal ratio so that the coolers are not too audible and the average temperature during operation is acceptable, for example, up to 70-80
degrees. Most often, resetting NVRAM and SMC helped.

I don't understand why questions like this come up every week. Laptop engineers are not idiots, and if the temperature exceeds a dangerous threshold, the CPU will go into throttling. Nothing will fall off or burn. At Air 2011, I played Mass Effect for several days at an air temperature of +29, the maximum that happened was that FPS dropped after a few hours. The laptop is still alive. No supports and blowers are needed, they only disrupt heat transfer. Just use it and don't worry.

1) constant heating and cooling over time can lead to a processor "slump", that is, a loss of contact between the processor chip and the board under it. Modern processors are less susceptible to this, more often the south bridge or video card suffers from this. This temperature does not harm the chip itself.
2) the processor has one temperature sensor (or one for each core), other software will show the same thing.

90 degrees is already on the verge of throttling (the exact operating temperature can be found at ark.intel.com ) Air
the bottom of the laptop.

You didn’t think about the possibility that your radiator was clogged with dust or the thermal paste dried up, it’s not uncommon on beeches, in general, on average, you need to clean it every six months and change the thermal paste once a year. 90 - this dofiga will reach 100 and the beech will go out due to overheating. The normal temperature of the processor is 60-70 at maximum load. Cooling stand can temporarily save the situation

I use iStat Menus, where you can manually force the fans to maximum, helps when the load on the poppy is unexpectedly high.
I don’t know how this affects his future life, but he suddenly stopped overheating at especially difficult moments. forced cooling if necessary.
