Should I buy a non-original laptop battery?
I need to buy a battery for sony vgn-sr11mr.
The original one (VGP-BPL13, 7800 mAh) costs ~10,000 rubles. we have in Moscow.
Non- original, for example: iBat iB-A485 - 4500 rubles.
Maybe someone bought? Do they work well or are they not worth it?
Thank you!

I bought a non-original increased capacity for ASUS M50Sr on ebay. I've had no problems for over 8 months now.
I bought myself a non-original one on HP TX2 - I was satisfied. I bought a friend on HP 6720s, the battery died after 3 months.
Those. here as luck would have it.
I 'm afraid after that . Here, on Habré, I read how the Chinese sold batteries without fuses (or whatever it is called) under the guise of being equipped with them.
I suspect that if you order the original from abroad, a more reasonable price will come out.
Check with IBatt if you need to flash your laptop BIOS. For the non-original Sony batteries available for sale, starting with BPS8, require a flashing (the Chinese simply do not do other ones), which not all sellers honestly warn about.
Only Sony beeches have such a “monstrous” protection against “non-original”, other laptop manufacturers do not bother.
After flashing it works fine. If the store is decent and fulfills the warranty obligations, then there is nothing to worry about.
I have SONY VAIO VGN-AR21-MR. The native battery lasted 2 years, losing 78% of its capacity. I decided to buy a non-original increased capacity (7600). It cost me then 3500 rubles. Three years of operation - 39% of the capacity remains. Basically, it's worth its money.
