Should I add donations to the site?

There are a couple of sites:
1. Audio download for hunters;
2. Text converter.
Total attendance per month ~ 20-30k, depending on seasonality.
The question is, is it necessary to tie a donation to the site?
How much do I lose by not having it?
And won't it scare away the audience?!)

Now there are only YAN blocks, they make about ~ 3000 per month.

If you don't try, you won't know. It all depends on the audience though. Some will drop and some won't.
It is better to raise money on an honest donation than on any incomprehensible advertising)
