In the "My Computer" application, the hard drive is displayed, when downloading any applications, files to it, it says "Not an existing device is selected".

Error 0X800701B1 "The specified device does not exist" usually hints at disk problems.
Download R.tester and look at SMART in it, then you can do automatic diagnostics: https://rlab.ru/tools/rtester.html Report the results, but do not run the tests yet - if it turns out that the disk is bad, reading can finish it off.
Save the program to another physical disk. If the hard drive with the error is a system one, then connect it directly to another working computer.
If there is important information on the disk, then chkdsk /R /Fyou should not run it - it will easily shred your files into pieces, manual assembly of which can cost more than professional data recovery from a disk that was not tormented in this way.
