It was NTFS, it became FAT-32. How to recover data after formatting?

Good day.
Please help me recover data from Seagate Flexagent GoFlex external drive.
The disk was accidentally formatted using the Boot camp application from under Mac OS.
It happened like this:
I connected an external drive to the laptop and had to copy the Windows 7 image from it, so that later I could create a bootable USB flash drive, which was also connected to the laptop.
When starting Boot camp, the case did not select a USB flash drive, but my external drive and Boot camp formatted my external drive.
I literally realized in a second what I had done and quickly pulled out the external drive, but the data had already been overwritten.
This is the first time I've encountered such a problem.
There I have 400gb of family photos and videos from the last 10 years.
In the past, R-Studio has always helped me out, but yesterday I got lucky. Almost 6 hours R-Studio scanned the disk and in the end nothing - empty.
Only a log here with such errors.

Severity Type Date Time Message
Error System 12/17/2014 12:11:41 AM Read disk E: at position 499984241152 failed after 1 attempts. The system cannot find the file specified (2)

I think the problem is that my drive was in NTFS, and now it is formatted in FAT-32.
I would be very grateful if you tell me how to recover data from a disk?

Format back to NTFS and back to R-Studio. Of course, you need to format with the same settings as before. And yes, format quickly. I mean, you only need to restore the partition table.
But. First, if the data is really at least somehow important - before any experiments, make a complete binary copy of the disk. For example, using the dd utility . And it is desirable then to work with the image, and not with the disk. Secondly, if the data is very important, it is better to trust professionals. They know what they are doing and the probability of successfully recovering data will greatly increase. Thirdly, if the new old markup does not help, then we open the image in a hex editor, study the structure of NTFS (it is not very complicated) and pick out the files with our hands. Although it might take a very long time.
And, finally, once again I will repeat "secondly". Trust the professionals.
