Recommend a media player

Hello everyone, and Happy New Year everyone!

Help with advice, which prefix to take? Otherwise, I don’t understand anything about them :(

The most important thing is the function of remembering viewed files. Like on apple TV, when you watch a movie, it marks unwatched / watched movies.

You need any other media set-top box, except for apple TV with the same function.

And the second, a very important thing - you need a browser on the console that plays flash or html5 video (yes, yes, for a turbo movie :))

And of course lan / wifi, hdmi, HD / fullHD, many codecs, etc. :)

PS I have a gift for NG in the form of an invite to a turbofilm :)

AppleTV 2 + Jailbreak is probably the most suitable option. Somewhere there was even an article about people running html 5 games on the device.

You can take an ion-based nettop and roll xbmc on top, there are no restrictions on functionality, except for heavy games, of course.

Now very interesting Android players are starting to be sold on DX (such as www.youtube.com/watch?v=HI9JAzpOpLw ). Pros - a decent browser, you can install different software, games. Minus - it is not clear how the Chinese did everything there, whether it will fall apart after a week of use ...

I advise you to look at boxee (or xbmc). If you need a compact media player, then there is the D-Link Boxee Box.

I have a media player based on PC + windows 7 + MCE + a horizontal case in a rack to the receiver. Despite the fact that the computer is old: 512RAM, 3GHz, Ati 2600; everything flies - including Full HD of the most brutal coding.
3 years without maintenance, only 1.5 years ago I installed windows 7.

Didn't find what you were looking for?
