Problem with dpkg-reconfigure exim4-config
I'm trying to configure exim4 to work via gmail (debian lenny), but there is a strange problem with dpkg-reconfigure exim4-config - you run it, it shows a selection screen (smart host, local etc) and immediately exits back to the terminal. Sometimes it starts and after the first choice it falls out the same way. What's going on with him?
here are the permissions in etc/exim4:
/etc/exim4# ls -l total 24 -rw-r----- 1 Debian-exim Debian-exim 0 Apr 18 16:34 aliases -rw-r----- 1 Debian-exim Debian-exim 0 Apr 18 16:34 blacklist drwxr-xr-x 9 Debian-exim Debian-exim 4096 Apr 14 00:16 conf.d -rw-r----- 1 Debian-exim Debian-exim 0 Apr 18 16:34 dnsblists -rw-r----- 1 Debian-exim Debian-exim 0 Apr 18 16:34 domains -rw-r--r-- 1 Debian-exim Debian-exim 12074 Apr 18 16:34 exim4.conf.template -rw-r----- 1 Debian-exim Debian-exim 0 Apr 18 16:34 passwd -rw-r----- 1 Debian-exim Debian-exim 252 Jun 1 00:33 passwd.client -rw-r----- 1 Debian-exim Debian-exim 0 Apr 18 16:34 pipe-aliases -rw-r--r-- 1 Debian-exim Debian-exim 1030 Apr 18 18:14 update-exim4.conf.conf -rw-r----- 1 Debian-exim Debian-exim 0 Apr 18 16:34 whitelist

show with what words the terminal comes to the end. maybe you had postfix installed
blacked out the hostname - the server is not mine, well, just in case. But ^[[?1;2c and what's after - appears after the launch. The system is new - exim4 is working now, sending from the server normally.
You start, beep and exit immediately. Sometimes it starts up and lets you choose something on the first screen and exits the same way, and does not remember anything.
this config edits the entry in /etc/exim4/vim update-exim4.conf.conf
you can edit it manually.
here
is my
