Possible consequences of upgrading a domain to windows 2012 R2?

Hello.
There is a system with AD on windows 2003 R2 + kerio control 7.4.2 + kerio connect 8.0.0 + a file server on centsOS 5.3 integrated into AD. There is a desire to update DC to the level of windows 2012 R2.
Question: what stones can I come across when updating the domain and maybe someone knows whether the description of the system above will lead correctly when changing the AD level. There is no such practice and I have not found anything similar on the Internet.

Are you sure you want to update the current DC? Don't do it, "drop" everything. As far as I know, only migration
is possible . Description for example here habrahabr.ru/company/microsoft/blog/245667

On a clean Windows, there would be no problems. But given Linux - HZ, how he behaved. Although, in principle, there are no unsolvable problems, especially since CentOS should also be updated - somehow version 5.3 is already a little outdated, no? :-)

Kerio - on Linux, or on Windows?
Go out on a day off - archive the DC - update the scheme on it until 2012 - see what's happening with Linux (s). You enter into the domain 2012, you do DC, you look again.
Didn't work - come back.
I have a virtual machine - 2003 DC, iron 2008 DC, iron Kerio Control 7.4.2 on Win 2008 - no problems. But Linux is not.

To update the schema, the server must be at least standard. Install another server, but only 2012R2, make it a domain controller and a master of RID and RDC. Downgrade the old server to private and upgrade the mode. There will be no problems!
