How to configure SAN from HPE MSA 1050?
I inherited storage 1050, I want to raise file storage. Whether it will be correct to make according to such scheme:
1. There is a server with FS a role.
2. On 1050, I will make the 10th raid, and then I will break it into LUNs and make iscsi target.
3. I connect the server and SAN with copper and on network interfaces I prescribe for example *.99.1 and *.99.2.
4. I specify on SAN that it accepts requests for iscsi only from this interface.
5. On the server with the FS role, I raise iscsi and hook it through the specified interface.
6. This disk appeared on the server as a local one.
7. Next, I set up, as usual, a file role with a ball on this folder and access to the network goes through the second network interface, which is plugged into the switch.
Missed nothing? Or maybe the HPE MSA1050 has some kind of interface for creating file balls?
