How to create a vg0 volume group?

Hello!
Please help me figure out how to create a vg0 volume group. I'm trying to install XEN and for this I need to write lvm = ... in the xen-tools.cfg config, but it doesn't work. I do it according to the manual - vladimir-stupin.blogspot.ru/2014/06/xen.html (2. Setting up the host system). Tried to create an unallocated area, tried to create an additional partition, but always an error - the partition is already mounted (vgcreate vg0 /dev/sda6). Help me understand the procedure. Thanks in advance!

To use XEN, there is no need to use LVM and create a volume group. It's easier to use raw images in a file.
