Portfolio for upwork from local projects?
need to add projects to portfolio on upwork , but all projects are only on local server . Basically, the whole emphasis was on the backend, so the whole essence cannot be revealed only with screenshots, and since there is no link to the real site on the hosting, it is difficult to show all the functionality. Should I describe the main functionality in the project description? And in general, is there any benefit only from local projects?

if you are a backend developer, then you should have a portfolio on github;
in general, the importance of an upwork portfolio is minimal, you can not post anything at all, in my opinion it is empty there.
1. The best thing is to put a "live" working project on hosting.
2. As an option: shoot a video of your project and put it on Youtube.
3. If the code is not secret - put the project on GitHub.
create GitHub pages - here's the domain and hosting for free
