How do I calculate the PayPal fee when receiving funds from abroad?

I am a freelancer. I work for a customer from another country, according to the contract, the payment is indicated in rubles, but he pays in dollars. Rubles come to the stick.
A sickly piece is bitten off from the payment, which I can’t calculate in any way in order to include this commission in the amount that the customer owes me. I have already received two payments, and if you try to manually calculate the commission of these payments based on the numbers in the information about transfers, then each time the commission varies a little - 5.49% and 5.42%.
Googling doesn't give a definitive answer. I rummaged through the taker.im forum, there is either old information, or people have different problems ... If you rely on the FAQ of the stick itself, then something also does not add up.
It is clear that the following variables are in the equation:
- USD -> RUB exchange rate (as I understand it, the stick has its own)
- stick fee for currency conversion
- transfer fee
How do I, damn it, exactly calculate the amount, where is all this data stored in a clear and up-to-date form?)
The invoice must be issued in rubles. The customer agrees to pay the commission.
For example, somewhere it says that the conversion fee is + 4% to the exchange rate. What does it mean?? Suppose now the exchange rate is $1 = 60 rubles, let's take this equality for ease of calculation. Plus 4% is how it turns out? 60 + 0.04*60?

When sending a payment to https://www.paypal.me/ no commission is taken, even from another country.
If you set the main wallet currency in dollars, there will be no auto-conversion. The amount on the account will remain in dollars (it will still be displayed in rubles, but at the exchange rate for the current day).

  1. commission for accepting payment from 2.9 to 3.9% (at the beginning 3.9%, from 300,000 rubles / month you can apply for a reduction) + fixed commission (for RUB 10 rubles, for USD $0.3).
For micropayments 5% in the Russian Federation, 6% international + fixed commission (for RUB 2 rubles, for USD $0.05)

Further, if you have removed the automatic conversion into rubles, and there is a USD account in PayPal, the money remains on the account in dollars.
In the Russian Federation, you can only withdraw rubles, you will have to do a currency conversion, approximately 4-6% is lost on the PayPal exchange rate compared to the exchange rate, depending on the currency.
Therefore, it is more profitable to accept payment in rubles, but then the payer will pay for the currency conversion, the exchange rate and the conversion fee may already be different.
    Other currency exchange options
    • Change USD in paypal to rubles through exchangers, you will lose even more by%
    • Accept USD payments through paypal intermediaries, take a commission of 5% comes out the same almost
