Permanent remote work

Under certain circumstances, it will be necessary to move from Kyiv to a godforsaken place (Poltava).

Where to look for a remote constant (for example, from 9 to 18) for clearly defined money? On job/freelance sites, everyone wants either an office or one-time jobs. Freelancing is a good thing, but I'm too used to stability.

I heard that there are people who work from home for foreign companies, and at the same time make good money. How do they do it?

PS. Job profile - senior front-end developer, basic knowledge of node.js + mongodb. Developed applications for facebook, smart tv. 5 years of experience, first freelancing, then working for large foreign companies. English at an intermediate level, often communicated with employees from the States / France.

I don’t know what is “not bad” for you to earn, but you can try your hand at odesk.com. There you can find a permanent employer with ease, although perhaps not immediately.

I work remotely at deviantart.com. Jobs: deviantart.theresumator.com/
How it went:
1. Saw an ad in the monthly job post on Hacker News. There are 2 separate posts, regular work and remote.
2. Sent resume, cover letter and links to code examples.
3. Completed the test task.
4. Passed the interview by phone.
5. Agreed on salary.
6. Started work.
I can’t say how effective this approach is, I didn’t send a resume to other companies, I got a job on the first try.

There are such offers on any exchanges, some even in separate sections. There are much fewer of them than one-time works, so it may take some time to search. I recommend setting up a filter to filter out inappropriate offers. Also agree with ixSci , odesk is the best place to look for this.

Any adequate web studio does not care where the employee is at all. The main thing is to work and be in touch. That's where I advise you to go.

I asked a similar question the other day .
Such proposals do exist. Sometimes even interesting. True, they offer less money.

Start with single orders. Then regular customers will appear. In the end, you will find the most permanent. Maybe right away, maybe a little later, but you will find it.
I had it.

> and get good results. How do they do it?
How much is good?
And it succeeds because they are looking for and are looking for. In the sense that you need to show activity yourself and look for customers who show this activity themselves. Shine on the western sites of the relevant subject.

Just left a comment in a nearby question about development paths.
It is easier for a programmer / developer to find a remote job, more chances. And fulltime with good compensation. Now the topic “Software Engeneer” and everything connected with it is a trend.

In general, we have more full-time projects in Toptal , and if you like this mode, you can work as a regular job from / to remotely for a year or more on one project. To get to us, however, you need to go through a rather difficult selection and speak English quite well. Read more about remote work in Toptal for programmers on the Payoneer blog.
