What terminal server to put?

Need a terminal server for 5 people. Does it make sense to install 2008r2 without a domain in 2019? Or is 2008r2 still too old and you need to install 2019 with a domain? The server is planned for use as a file and 1s.

gitlab. You can create tasks, boards, milestones, tasks/tickets right from the start, division by projects, breakdown of tasks into subtasks, if you work in a small team, you can also assign tasks by participants. + Notification about closing/creating tasks by teammates. There are still a bunch of goodies, but we do not use, because there is enough.

I recommend YouGile as an alternative to Trello.
a couple of entities (Company, Project) have been added to YouGile, which makes it possible to better structure the project.
The most important feature of YG is the execution of your scripts in the company, you write a script in JS, upload it to the system and it is executed every time the user enters the company. They have a good API for JS work.
I advise you to get acquainted with this system, at least for comparison.
I made a couple of plugins for myself:
- canceling the creation of boards of sheets with standard names, instead I create my own structure in each board.
- if the name contains certain words (#TASKS, #PROJECT), then a convenient structure of boards and sheets for work is created inside.

Well, take a look at Bitrix24. Not great of course. But there are tasks, time counting, kanban, tasks can be divided into projects. You can also fix payments in transactions, and then view statistics, for example, for customers. There is api.

2008 - its support is coming to an end (almost in January 2020), manufacturers of related accounting software will no longer support this OS in their software. It is necessary to set 2019. Draw your own conclusions

File server - Samba
Server 1C8 works fine on Linux terminals or desktop Windows webserver
There is no point in keeping WinSrv for these tasks in 2019

My IMHO, if the goal is to save money (i.e. for small organizations for 5 people, all the goodies of the domain controller and the windows server itself are not necessary and even redundant), and a LOT, then instead of a terminal server, build a machine with a desktop OS (i.e. literally windows 7/8/10) and a subsystem from ibik aster , when several keyboards, mice and monitors are physically connected to the same machine (you can find video cards with up to 6 monitors connected, adapters or select according to the type of connector in advance or several video cards, even through raisers) and work independently directly, without a slow network terminal.
Monitors can be taken out over a noticeably long distance (10-20 meters with almost no problems), with USB it’s more difficult, after 5 meters problems begin (for example, with flash drives - but is it really necessary, it will be needed - a person will get up and come to the car), keyboards can be plan wireless - add another 5-10 meters.
As a last resort, you can immediately configure each console via VNC / anydesk / teamviewer to your taste and preferences.
