On macOS Sierra, language switching is bad with a keyboard shortcut - how to fix it?
I bought a new macbook pro, Sierra is worth it.
Before that, there was Air c Yosemite.
I switched the language on Yosemite with the combination Cmd + Space, on Sierra for some reason Control + Space, I changed the hotkey to my usual one and now the language often switches only the second time, although switching always occurs in the menu bar. As a result, I switch the language, it does not switch, the icon in the menu bar changes, I start typing, the hell was swimming there, I change it again, the icon changes again and the language finally switches.
Sometimes after 5-10 characters, he switches the language back, himself. After a couple of hours, I'm already starting to get nervous.
What could be the reason and how to fix it?

You need to put a combination of cmnd + space to switch to the previous language, and not to the next. Well, it’s clear to check that the combination is not duplicated anywhere else. Automatic switching must be turned off.
Check your Siri settings. By default, it is called on hold Cmd + Space, which causes a conflict
Thanks, I had the same problem on Mojave. I just disabled Siri and everything works fine.
There are three different problems on mac with layout switching:
1. Automatic switching "when not asked".
It is treated by disabling this useful feature in "system settings-> keyboard- > input sources-> uncheck "automatically switch to ..." It is treated by redefining the keyboard shortcut: instead of "select the next source", we hang the combination com + space on "select the previous one". This is also in the "system settings-> keyboard-> input sources". There is no glitch observed with this setting option.
3. You have to press the layout switch several times to get the effect. The reason is the duplicate combination for Spotlight. It is treated by disabling / redefining the hot key in "system settings-> keyboard-> Spotlight-> uncheck the "show search" checkbox or redefine it.
Here's a bunch of layouts messed up. Good luck "clean up"!
