Not enough sata supply length?
I bought a PC, connected an hdd to it, but there is not enough length of the sata power cable, so I worked it up a little and it turned out that's it . It's held
on by two screws. Nothing will happen to the PSU or to the hdd if it hangs like this for a long time?

Can pull wires out of the connector, crack the board or solder the connector to the board.
it is better not to strain the wires - hang on hot glue or on a screed
Nothing will happen if the PC is securely fixed and no one is going to throw it. I have three disks, did not fix in any way.
I recommend turning it upside down so that nothing on the case bridges the parts on the printed circuit board
I have seen (and used) red SATA cables up to a meter long. These will solve your problem (although, I suspect, at the cost of a lower transfer rate). But still, it’s not clear to me what kind of layout is such that there are not enough standard 30-centimeter ones.
move the drive into a basket close to the cable, or use a molex to Sata cable. as it is now risky failure of the hard drive. if there is something important, then it is better to do it right
