Network printer (via usb) Why can't it print until at least one job is sent from the host?
There is an HP M132a printer, connected via usb to the host machine, and then they print on it from the whole office. And he has a "feature of work": after turning on the computer, no one can print anything until the host sends at least an empty sheet for printing.
Printer new problem arose immediately.
There is no network port on the printer.
After the first printout, everything works fine (the check period was a week when the computer just stood without turning off and no one worked on it)
What could be the reason for this? In what direction to dig?

Classics of the genre - brainless printer.
He does not have his own firmware, there is only a small bootloader.
The firmware is loaded via USB from the host on the first print after power on.
The firmware is not loaded over the network.
As HP itself writes, if the printer does not have a network interface, then we do not guarantee its operation over the network.
I would assume that the printer goes into eco mode and only the USB-powered host can kick it. Dig into printer settings? Try to connect to another host and check on which side the problem is? In the printer or in firewood on the printer? If automatic delivered, then it is recommended to install the original ones. In general, it’s easy to find a print server up to 1000 rubles on Avito, or what kind of router you have in the office, many also support it.
