Slow networking with multiple switches

There are about 20 computers in 5 offices. They are connected through switch hubs , the cable from the previous hub, the cable of the next switch and computers in the office are included in the switch. All computers are located in the same subnet, in the same Windows network group and see each other

Problem: AutoCAD files take a long time to open, sometimes the folder structure in TotalCommander takes a long time to be drawn.

What can be done?

There were similar problems. was solved by replacement of 1 mad network card.
Accordingly, if possible, determine the "bad" switch by gradually cutting off links, then on it - a bad network card. and POSSIBLY the problem will be solved.

If hubs are real, then replacing them with switches will improve the situation.
And it would be better to have one central switch / router to which the rest of the switches are connected. That is, it is better to simplify the topology from the "tree" to the "star".

If the hardware is managed, check the status of the uplinks - speed, duplex, errors on the ports, look at the logs - if the link is falling at all. Check by pinging large packets from one end to the other.
If uncontrollable - just dance with a tambourine and double-check each link separately.
