Macbook pro 13" and external monitor 27" (1920x1080)?
Notebook Apple Macbook pro 13 with retina
Monitor ViewSonic VX2770Sml-LED
Adapter thunderbolt > vga (native)
The task is to connect and continue to enjoy clear fonts.
Of course, it was possible to connect without any problems, as the apple religion says.
But on the fonts of an external monitor, light halos form around letters and icons, which is terribly annoying.
You should not sin on the monitor, because everything works fine with windows and ubuntu.
I read there is a problem in the font generation approach and someone found solutions, I decided to ask the community. Maybe someone came across and found a solution, it can’t be that everyone works on external apple cinema or suffers from such fonts)

With VGA, don't even count on good fonts.
It is better to use DVI/HDMI (your monitor should have such connectors).
