Will the MacBook Pro 13 require more power for an external 2k monitor than the built-in one?
I want to buy an external monitor for my MacBook Pro 13 (without a touch bar, basic equipment) to close the laptop and work only with the monitor.
As you know, the macOS interface does not scale on 2k monitors and is displayed quite small using 100% scale. It doesn't bother me and I even like it.
The question is... On the laptop itself, even though the resolution is 2k, but by default the interface is scaled, but there is no scaling on the external monitor and all the monitor resolution will be used... Will an external 2k monitor load the laptop more than its native screen? Or am I wrong and the load is the same?

I use last year's mbp with a 4k monitor.
The interface is scaled in the same way as on the main display - by lowering the resolution.
There are no problems.
