Macbook Pro 13 2019 8gb vs 16gb and 128gb vs 256gb?
Hello, I'm thinking about buying a new laptop, and the choice fell on the Macbook Pro 13 2019. I am a student and I work mainly with documents, sometimes with photographs. I wanted to take the cheapest package with 128 and 8 GB, hoping that this would be enough for my tasks. But I want the device to be freely used after the release (perhaps there will be a need for video editing). Hence the question: for relatively simple tasks, what equipment will be optimal?
PS
pzhzh do not advise other manufacturers. For many personal reasons, I prefer Apple.

Working with documents and video editing are two completely different tasks, different worlds and even different universes. Under the first, the basic equipment will go quite well, with a margin for many years. For the second, you need a top-end configuration with a discrete video card, the largest possible SSD, the most powerful CPU and the maximum amount of memory. Under video editing, in general, everything should be maximal if you want to do it on a laptop. And ideally, in general, editing is done on desktops, and everything is also at maximum speed there.
However, if "video editing" in your understanding is to assemble a 30-second video for Instagram from a couple of videos from your phone and roll a filter or two, then the basic configuration is enough. Therefore, see how serious the installation you plan to do.
Well, in general - if the budget allows (without pain, selling organs or selling yourself into credit slavery for more than 1 year), then it's better to take 16GB and 256GB at once. 128 - very little, the system and applications will take up more than half, if you still want to store some music locally and synchronize photos with iCloud, upload the season of the series on the road - that's it, the place is over. Completely over. This is not a problem (maximum inconvenient) if you have iCloud with enough space and you are always on a good internet, 24/7, 365 days a year. But even in this case, it can come out sideways on the very first vacation, where you have to be offline for some time or on a slow and expensive Internet. Plus, this is a constant overwriting of a record on a disk, how much it will affect the duration of its life - xs.
If there is not enough money for both and you need to choose one, I would take more SSDs. 8 GB of memory is enough for daily use, if you do not load it with specific applications.
There would be more RAM, then it’s still enough for 7-10 years, take 16.
There should be enough memory and 128, iCloud, that’s all.
