Local Policies?

Hello, such a question, what is the difference between local policies sepcol.msc and gpedit.msc? I'm a beginner just wondering in gpedit it seems like there are more functions, but still what's the difference? How do you use these tools in practice?

gpedit is all policies. And secpol is specifically a security policy and nothing else.
