Length of USB camera cable?
There is a USB camera, configured, connected it as an IP camera.
The problem is that there is a very short cable, so I want to buy an additional one to increase it.
How can I find out the maximum receive length for my model?

We read the wiki .
For standard 2.0
Approximate correspondence: cable
marking (indication of wire thickness in AWG) and the corresponding cable length:
AWG Length, no more than (cm)
28 81
26 131
24 208
22 333
20 500
. The technical documentation for the camera should indicate the usb standard (2.0 for example)!
If it does not work, you can power the camera separately from the power supply, or put a usb hub in the middle.
1) Passive shielded twisted pair extension cable - 12 meters, maybe up to 15 will last.
•GND - two wires orange and orange-white;
• power +5V - two wires brown and brown-white;
•data "-" - on the green wire;
• data "+" - to green-white;
• braid - on two wires blue and blue-white.
2) We buy an active extension cord or do it ourselves - up to 20 meters.
